Congratulations to Ian Shaw for earning Wingstop Team Member of the Quarter for Q4 2021!
Q: What attracted you to Wingstop when you first started?
A: I was thrilled when I found out that there was an opportunity for me to become a part of the Wingstop team for a few reasons. I’ve been eating and a huge fan of the product for almost 20 years. My wife and I would eat at Wingstop often even before I started working here. Wingstop’s incredible growth is impressive and I didn’t want to miss out on the opportunity to work at a growing company whose product I enjoy.
Q: What does earning TMOQ mean to you?
A: I feel very honored and humbled to receive the award. Wingstop is full of smart, hard-working, and dedicated individuals and to be selected from that great talent pool is an incredible feeling. I feel inspired to continue to grow and add great contributions to the company.
Q: What do you believe has made you successful in your career?
A: I try to approach my role as a customer service role. Doing everything I can to support the people I report to as well as support the people who report to me. I’ve also benefitted from having great leaders that are invested in my success.
Q: How do you Serve the World Flavor in your role?
A: I serve the World Flavor by helping support the International Team that literally serves the World Flavor. Part of my job is to support our international development team and see where our international franchises might be able to be more efficient with cost which leads to higher profit and to help develop more stores.
Q: What do you attribute as your most valuable accomplishment at Wingstop?
A: My most valuable accomplishment at Wingstop was being part of the team that supported the financial modeling for the UK investment. The UK has been a very strong market for Wingstop and being an investor in that market helps strengthen the brand and gives us a way to show support to current and future franchisees.
Q: Lastly, what is your favorite Wingstop flavor?
A: I started out loving Cajun but I’ve recently began eating Louisiana Rub. All our flavors are a distant second to our ranch though. That stuff makes everything taste great.
